A Time for Colors

I grew up on a farm and my Mom always loved growing flowers. These were from some years ago; but they bring back good memories. I think she taught us her children an appreciation for gardening and nature. When I still lived on the farm, I often grew many a flower, too, especially in my childhood. I still love flowers but unfortunately don't have the grounds to grow them myself. So from time to time I go to places where other people provide the opportunity for me to enjoy the fruit of their labor.

Lovely. I just sense you had a good childhood, it shows in the sense that you are comfortable in your own skin, and happy regardless of whether you're able to grow flowers or not!

I love that picture of the rows of colorful flowers. You have a lot of terrific pictures on the site. I agree with Zanne about the sense that you had a good childhood.

Hi zanne. I was blessed growing up; it wasn't perfect; but I knew my parents loved me, my six brothers and one sister, and each other.

Thanks, nienke. I'm glad you find enjoyment in many of my pictures on this blog. In this particular picture, the first row of flowers on the left consists of assorted marigolds followed by I think ageratums. The next row consists of gladiolas and cannas.

I adore flowers too, and to check out my balcony garden from last year click here! You should try container gardening, that's great for people without a lot of space or who live in apartments/townhomes and such.
