Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, New Jersey Side, No. 1, part 2, Mushrooms and Fungae

This past Friday I went hiking near the Van Campens Glen area of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in New Jersey. These photos of mushrooms and fungae were taken from an off branch of the trail shown in the previous post.

It really amazes me that there are so many colors and so many kinds of mushrooms and fungae, poisonous or not, Tim. I hardly know where to start in identifying any of them except the ones I buy for salads/cooking! My sister and BIL have morels on their farm in Michigan and I know those are a delicacy. I really need to get an education!

That so reminds me of home in fall. When we were little we were sent out to colletc mushrooms and til this day I can still distinguish quite a few of them.
I am back from Germany and was actually reminded of you, becuase I was inspired to take many pictures of creatures that hadn´t before caught my eye.

Hi, ginnie. I feel with you in regards to identification of mushrooms and fungae. I don't think I'll will ever know most of them; but I will still enjoy their beauty.

Hi, minka. Hopefully, those were pleasant memories that I helped to bring back to you. I'm glad I have inspired you to note and take pictures of creatures that you formerly did not note. :)

Thanks, paige. I'm glad you enjoyed these photos. Thanks for coming by.
