A Piece of Land at the Edge of Town

Yesterday afternoon I went hiking on a piece of undeveloped land on the edge of the town of Telford, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The wildflowers and tree blossoms were absolutely gorgeous that afternoon as demonstrated by the photos below. It was a mostly sunny day with temperatures near 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

The whole set together is a beautiful thing. Just an explosion of blooms. I've always loved dogwood. When we lived in Atlanta, they were everywhere. They would bloom when many other things were still just budding and you could see the white blooms sprinkled throughout otherwise bare woods. I loved seeing that.

very beautiful. Our dogwoods are just beginning to bloom, but they don't look like they're going to be as nice as last year.

I'm a bit envious of you. You live in one of the most gorgeous places as attested by photos that capture the beauty found there.

Undeveloped land in Telford? There must be some mistake! ;)

Your photos are wonderful, as always. I love the pretty white blossoms.

Thanks, talj. The blossoms were beautiful and I did enjoy my walk.

Thanks, jam. And dogwoods are gorgeous.

Thanks, sage. Was your winter too mild for your dogwoods or did the late snow hurt them?

Thanks, charley pitchford. Southeastern Pennsylvania has many beautiful places though development keeps encroaching.

Thanks, photowannabe. God knew how to make a beautiful world.

Hi, choochoo. Ah, fruit trees are pretty when they're blooming and the promise they hold is wonderful, too.

Thanks, mikaela. The land might technically be in Hilltown Township but is right next to the edge of Telford. I love these trees with their blossoms there.

Looks like a visula poem to white flowers!

I think the dogwoods were hurt by the late snow and cold, they all have brown spots on the tip of their blooms

Tim, I think you should develop a 'scratch 'n sniff' blog. :-)

I presume this land was belonging to somebody before. The branch at the top does not seem to be wild. It would be so in place in a garden even a castle's park. It's a beautiful little tree. I notice that the strawberry leaves are thinerthan mine. Maybe there are different species depends the country
You must comeback soon and gather them
Perhaps will you have enough and your fiancée instead of your mother will cook marmelade for you !
;D

I love to see how Spring is springing at different times all around the western world, Tim. For us in Atlanta, so many of the blooming trees have come and gone. But this way, through your pics, we get to extend their beauty!

I love the first picture. The tree looks gorgeous against the white wall

Hi Tim! Those strawberry blossoms make me eager for the upcoming fresh fruit season. I keep watching as I make plant deliveries for the place that usually has the first Jersey strawberries available. Shouldn't be long! Then we can begin our annual treks to the various pick-your-own places we are blessed with in this area. Mmmm!

Thanks, moi. The dogwoods are wonderful trees along with their legend.

Thanks, d. chedwick bryant. It just might be a visual poem to white blossoms as beautiful as these are.

Hi, sage. I thought maybe that was the case given the weather I heard that you had had earlier.

Hi, murf. That would be wonderful if it were feasible. :)

Hi, cergie. This land is located between an industrial park and a cemetery. Some of it is wetlands.

Thanks, ginnie. Many of the blooming trees are now past their peak here, too.

Thanks, choochoo. I liked that picture, too.

Hi, Phil. Fresh strawberries are always good!
