Chincoteague, Part 4

My wife and I were at Chincoteague, Virginia September 5-8 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Except for the first and the last photos, all these pictures were taken during a boat tour around Chincoteague and Assateague. As shown in the fourth picture we were blessed to see two bald eagles near the top of a tree. We also saw a number of dauphins. Unfortunately, I could never time my camera right to show much of the dauphin.

What a great day. I've never seen a bald eagle; that must have been pretty cool to spot them.

Glad you had a great trip.

Hi, Tim !
(Almost) all these birds are cute
(Except cormoran and vulture, and yet they are God's creatures and are useful too, aren't they ?). I like the one with the red beak particularly
I like too the deeply blue colored water of the marchland and the yellow dry aquatic plants
I met a dolphin once, I thought then it was a shark ; it was really scary. I was very young in that time, I was a kid. Now I'm brave !

Thanks, ginnie. It was a good time for both of us.

Thanks, fred. It was fun to see those two bald eagles. That might have been the first time for me too.

Thanks, consise10. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and it's good to hear from you again.

Thanks, cergie. God's creation is wonderful. And my wife and I got to enjoy a lot of it at Chincoteague. :)

Has been that long already, it just seems like yesterday to me. Beautiful photos. And a wonderful shot of an eagle.

I love the beach-pic. Reminds me of the last time I did field-work. Good times.
