Except for the last photo, all these pictures were taken in the past week or so. The last photo was taken early this Spring but is so beautiful that I still want to post it here. I do not know the names of all the flowers; but I do enjoy them anyway.
Hi tim, the last phoo you mean the one at the bottom which is a spring flower : Japan quince flower (translation from French cognassier du Japon) so the fruit smells as good than quince's one. At the top althea, mine is not yet blossomed. How is it possible yours is blossomed already ? Maybe is it from your brother's garden house ;o) The impatience is beautiful, however it is not simpel at all with thes leaves having two colors and this double flower And the doves, are they your sweet wife and you (love birds) in the wind ?
What fun y'all must of had. We had the pleasure of driving through Shenandoah (sp?) National Park-Sky Line Dr recently. Y'all do have some very lovely country up that way.
My main blog: Ramblings generally focuses on telling a story via photography and words. These stories generally center around family, nature, and church although sometimes just about life in general. I also have a blog entitled Fingerprints. I post less frequently in Fingerprints. It serves as a catch all of anything that does not go in my Ramblings blog including memes, quizzes, and reports on books and movies.
The road awaits
Time doesn't
The road beckons
Time steps forward
Will we move
In step with time?
Will we step forward
Shaping our time?
Will we take time
To see the present?
Will we explore the past
And understand our heritage?
Will we laugh?
Will we wonder?
Will we touch?
Will we feel?
Time flies on
We have choices
Shall we go fast?
Shall we go slow?
We shall go forward
But we will choose the pace
We may dance with all our heart
Or bathe ourselves in a setting sun

All of these photos are spectacular, Tim, with perfect DOF. I could see each one of these in the larger format on Shutterchance!! :)
very nice! those doves look like they'd fluffed their feathers for warmth
Awwwww.... love the image of the Doves! Gorgeous!
Thanks, cergie. I'm glad you've enjoyed this post. And I'm honored to have me and my wife referred to as love birds. :)
Thanks, sage. The weather was actually quite warm - maybe fluffed up to let the heat out or any breeze in.
Thanks, charlotte. Glad you enjoyed the photo of the doves.
