During our trip in January to Chile over twenty teenagers and adults from the Tabernacle of Christ Church in Viña del Mar went to assist with a Summer Bible School in the mountains near Frutillar, Chile. Throughout the whole Summer Bible School I was impressed how enthusiastically our Chilean brothers and sisters in Christ (both young and old) sought to share their relationship with Christ with others. They shared their faith joyfully from the heart. Below are a few pictures from the Summer Bible School.
Yes ! It must have been so fine, almost hollidays meeting so wonderful people ! Next spring, we'll be in California during three weeks, because of a wedding. I wonder, I can imagine how I will speak, with the persons will meet ! Happily, I can hope that since the first time I wrote a comment on your blog, I have improved my English ;o)
It is good for us to see how others live in other parts of the world, it should make us grateful for all God has given us and make us more ready to share. ec
Tim, thanks for letting me know about your time in Chile. I enjoyed very much seeing the photos of fellowship and ministry there. A church I was a member of in Fort Worth, Texas, about ten years ago, took groups to Chile as well to work alongside national churches there. We miss being on the mission field and hope to return in the future, though we are uncertain when that might be. Please pray for us as God brings us to your remembrance that we'll know His will and trust Him in His timing.
Thanks, cergie. It was wonderful meeting so many wonderful people. And your English has improved since the first time you wrote a comment on my blog. I can tell that you put effort into improving your knowledge and use of English.
Thanks, paige. And yes children are fun to work with. Sometimes we adults should be a little bit more like the children.
Thanks, ginnie. It is an excellent memory. I so glad my wife wanted us to experience Chile together. She was there a few years ago with a team from her (now our) church.
Thanks, mreddie. I'm also thankful to be able to receive love and friendship from my Chilean friends. They have much to give us even though they are not materially rich.
Thanks, charlie pitchford. I'm glad you enjoyed these photos. And I am praying for you as you continue to discern God's will for your future. Mission work is rewarding when one does it in God's timing.
My main blog: Ramblings generally focuses on telling a story via photography and words. These stories generally center around family, nature, and church although sometimes just about life in general. I also have a blog entitled Fingerprints. I post less frequently in Fingerprints. It serves as a catch all of anything that does not go in my Ramblings blog including memes, quizzes, and reports on books and movies.
The road awaits
Time doesn't
The road beckons
Time steps forward
Will we move
In step with time?
Will we step forward
Shaping our time?
Will we take time
To see the present?
Will we explore the past
And understand our heritage?
Will we laugh?
Will we wonder?
Will we touch?
Will we feel?
Time flies on
We have choices
Shall we go fast?
Shall we go slow?
We shall go forward
But we will choose the pace
We may dance with all our heart
Or bathe ourselves in a setting sun

It looks like y'all had a lovely time. It is fun to work with children, their hearts and minds are so open.
I can tell this was a memory you'll never forget, Tim. Thanks for sharing it.
