Just a short note

This week and next, my work schedule may interfere with my blogging activities. Yesterday, I worked two hours overtime and today I worked three hours overtime already. Next week, the small grocery store chain that I work for is opening its fourth store in Vernfield, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. I work in the bakery at the Telford, Bucks County store that does most of the scratch baking for the rest of the stores. So we have been asked to keep a flexible schedule. I'll post and visit as able; but if you see a temporary slow down or stopping, you now know why.

Even though the money was good, I never enjoyed the overtime back when I was working. But in your case it sounds necessary in order to keep the 'dough' coming in - in more ways than one. ec

Take care of yourself, Tim, during this time of extended work hours. And thanks for the heads-up.

Better having too much work than not enough.
Be quiet Tim. Thanks for warning.

My uncle use to own a bakery, probably 60 years ago, and my mom got the flour sacks from him, white soft cotton, and she used them to dry dishes up until the day she died....3 years ago.... and she must have had tons of them, because I remember her hauling one unfinished one out, and hemming it not that long before....

Yep, I'd blog much more if I didn't work full time, and for the first time ever I've actually put in some overtime here and there lately. I have mixed feelings about the benefits.

Well, at least make sure you get enough sleep and relaxation, and I'll try to follow my own advice too. :)

I understand. I have been on overtime, supervisor had surgery but doing well. My dady has been sick but getting better. So little time to catch up. I will as I can.
Be safe & try to keep smiling :-)

Hi, mreddie. You are so correct. The money from overtime is nice and useful; but I so often rather not have it as it cuts into the rest of my life. But at this point, it is needful.

Thanks, ginnie. I will try to take care of myself. :)

Hi, cergie. You have a point. Not having enough work could soon cripple my goals. Glad you understand.

Thanks, judypatooote, for sharing your anecdote about your mom. I love hearing short stories like that.

Hi, bobby. The primary difficulty with taking pictures of the baking process is that most of the time when I'm at work, I need to be working not taking pictures. Plus, some of the people there wouldn't want their pictures on the web. But we'll see what happens over time. :)

Hi, chloe. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It is good to see your presence here.

Hi, spider girl. So we have some similar struggles with our blogging time. Good to know that I'm not alone. :)

Hi, ava. The swim party was lots of fun. And I'll try not to wear myself out. ;)

Thanks, paige, for your understanding. And I hope your life situation get better, too. It is good to know that your daddy is getting better. And smiling does help if we can keep it meaningful.

Thanks, carmel. Rest is a good thing in the midst of busy times, isn't it?
