Dreamery Black Raspberry Avalanche

Mountains of Vanilla and Black Raspberry Ice Cream
Loaded with Dark Chocolate Chunks

I don't usually rave about commercially prepared foods. But this ice cream is good. One taste and you want more and then some more! I bought a container of it at Swans in Quakertown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania for fifty cents. I normally don't buy ice cream at a grocery store more than once or twice a year because I'm a cheapskate. But this was good and the price was right with Swans being the type of store that caters to cheapskates by stocking only products that are manufacturers' overstock or slightly out of date. If they keep carrying it, I'll buy it again unless my waiste expands too much. :)

I hope this ice cream wasn't too out of date. If so...it was lovely knowing you, Tim. ;-)

What is it with people and the raspberry/chocolate combo? The sister-in-law brings desserts featuring those two things for EVERY family get together. I'm more of the chocolate/peanut butter combo kind of girl.

One thing about America, you know how to make the best kind of bad-for-you food! I could never live there as I would quickly balloon to a scary weight!

Hi, m! I'm doing just fine, thank you. ;) I have always loved Black Raspberry and Chocolate. Peanut Butter and Chocolate is OK or sometimes a bit better than OK; but it can't match up to Black Raspberry and Chocolate.

Edy's Ice Cream had put this premium Dreamery brand ice cream out. However, while googling, I have discovered that they have discontinued this product line which probably explains why I found it at Swans. I also discovered that this brand of ice cream is kosher.

Hi, san nakji. America does make too much good but bad for you food and it shows on too many Americans. However, I keep watch on my weight weighing myself every morning to determine whether or not I can eat any fattening food that day. :)

I was wondering what I should have for breakfast. It's a holiday, right, so shall it be ice cream?

Wow, that ice cream seems delicious. Oneday I'm going to ask you to send me one like that. hehehe

Hi, kevin stilley. I apologize for such enticements that cannot be fulfilled; but maybe you could substitute Ben and Jerry's.

Hi, ava. It is delicious. I still have one more serving left in my freezer. Will have to see if I can buy more this weekend. :)

Hi, sage. Your breakfast can be ice cream if it is preceded or followed by oatmeal, scrambled eggs, or even a nutritional cold cereal. ;)

Hi, camila bernardes. If only I could economically send it to you, I would.

OMG. When has ANYTHING been 50-cents lately, especially ice cream! I think I could really like that flavor as well and would splurge every once in awhile---on the calories, that is :)

Tim Rice said...

Hi, ginnie. That was an amazing price, wasn't it? Of course, that product line isn't being made anymore. So my guess is the manufacturers or distributors sold it off at a very cheap wholesale price.

I love black raspberries so I know I would love this ice cream. I haven't met an ice cream that I didn't like. *LOL*

And for 50 cents? You can hardly buy an ice cream bar for that amount...You might be able to buy half an ice cream bar for 50 cents...maybe.

Hi, abandoned in pasadena. This is a wonderful ice cream. I'm glad I got a chance to try it for such a wonderful price. I also liked the illustrated container. To me, it has its own artistic value.

Dreamery Peanut Butter and Chocolate. Enough said.

Tim Rice said...

Hi, valerie. So I take it you have had Dreamery Ice Cream. Are you mourning that it is being discontinued as a product line? I think I will now.

I prefer not to remain here, I don't need to get more weight.

Hi, cergie. You don't gain weight just by looking! ;)

Gotta put my $0.02 (US) in here:
This is probably the best ice cream I've ever had, along with Double Rainbow.
Unfortunately, our local grocery stores have stopped carrying it (why, God, why??!!), so I'm going to have to find another source. Godiva Black Raspberry Vanilla just doesn't cut it.

Unfortunately, Peter, they stopped making this brand of ice cream. Thanks for stopping by.

Ben & Jerry's has a newer flavor called Raspberry Chocolate Chunk. It is reminiscent of Black Raspberry Avalanche. That might help.
