At Haycock Mountain

Last Monday, I went hiking on Haycock Mountain in Haycock Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Below are some of the sights from that outing. I started the hike in early evening and left at or just after dusk.

More beautiful fall colors.

Thanks, sage. I and my wife have enjoyed this time of year, too. Up until a couple days ago, we were enjoying Indian summer and it was really nice. It's a little bit cooler now though.

Thanks, fred. Autumn colors inspire me to worship God and to be thankful for the beauty He provides.

wow - now that is a beautiful walk! I love the mushrooms. The very last pic looks exactly like a few I took over here in Victoria!

Came to visit from Ginnie's blog.

Beautiful. I love the close up of the #4 photo.
We don't really get "fall" colors here. I know I say that every year. The leaves turn brown and fall off and that's that.

thanks for the walk I could almost smell the woods.

Ha ! Tim ! I hope you remember that I'm THE mushrom specialist
One of them is edible when very young, it is the one which is alone : Coprin chevelu (Coprinus comatus)
Of course the flower at the top is aster looking like a little star and on next thursday I'll publish two kinds of them on my garden-blog and two butterlies too.

I'm sure you know the name "Sumac de Virginie", I told you about it already
The thistle is not only a symbol of Scotland, it is a symbol of "la Lorraine", the east part of France from where my familly is coming.
However, the pictures I prefer on that post are the two ones of stones, they are really lovely.
