Last Monday, I went hiking on Haycock Mountain in Haycock Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Below are some of the sights from that outing. I started the hike in early evening and left at or just after dusk.
Thanks, sage. I and my wife have enjoyed this time of year, too. Up until a couple days ago, we were enjoying Indian summer and it was really nice. It's a little bit cooler now though.
Thanks, fred. Autumn colors inspire me to worship God and to be thankful for the beauty He provides.
Beautiful. I love the close up of the #4 photo. We don't really get "fall" colors here. I know I say that every year. The leaves turn brown and fall off and that's that.
thanks for the walk I could almost smell the woods.
Ha ! Tim ! I hope you remember that I'm THE mushrom specialist One of them is edible when very young, it is the one which is alone : Coprin chevelu (Coprinus comatus) Of course the flower at the top is aster looking like a little star and on next thursday I'll publish two kinds of them on my garden-blog and two butterlies too.
I'm sure you know the name "Sumac de Virginie", I told you about it already The thistle is not only a symbol of Scotland, it is a symbol of "la Lorraine", the east part of France from where my familly is coming. However, the pictures I prefer on that post are the two ones of stones, they are really lovely.
My main blog: Ramblings generally focuses on telling a story via photography and words. These stories generally center around family, nature, and church although sometimes just about life in general. I also have a blog entitled Fingerprints. I post less frequently in Fingerprints. It serves as a catch all of anything that does not go in my Ramblings blog including memes, quizzes, and reports on books and movies.
The road awaits
Time doesn't
The road beckons
Time steps forward
Will we move
In step with time?
Will we step forward
Shaping our time?
Will we take time
To see the present?
Will we explore the past
And understand our heritage?
Will we laugh?
Will we wonder?
Will we touch?
Will we feel?
Time flies on
We have choices
Shall we go fast?
Shall we go slow?
We shall go forward
But we will choose the pace
We may dance with all our heart
Or bathe ourselves in a setting sun
