Chincoteague, Part 2

My wife and I were at Chincoteague, Virginia September 5-8 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Below are some photos from Sunday morning and afternoon of that trip.

We were on the beach looking for seashells;
this bird was on the beach looking for its breakfast.

Yours truly walking accross the huge Assateague sandbar

A small segment of the Assateague Lighthouse

An artistic painting of the Assateague Lighthouse

Marshland

And crabs

Egrets flying

A horseshoe crab

And a jellyfish - one of many

One more time, I'll say that unhappily we too have plenty jellyfishes on our Atlantic beaches
We must be aware when walking on the sand or bathing in the ocean...

These are out of the ordinary images for you, Tim, so I'm glad you went somewhere special for your anniversary celebration. :) I especially like the lighthouse painting.

Thanks, cergie. And I'm glad I could give you a laugh.

Thanks, ginnie. I did get a chance to take a number of photos that are not my usual objects. But that was fun! :)
