The Giving Pond

This afternoon I spent at The Giving Pond Recreation Area along River Road not far from Uhlerstown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It used to be a rather large quarry. But when it was closed down, a number of people worked to have it become a part of the Pennsylvania State Park system. The day was variably cloudy with moments of bright sunshine. It was a good afternoon.

This is exactly the kind of stuff I love, Tim. Does your girlfriend get to go with you on these walks, I wonder? :)

As always, visiting your blog lets me imagine that I'm out in the beauty of God's creation. I love this, especially when I haven't found time to be there in person!

I especially like the shot of the people in the canoe. Great color and detail.

Wow..some of these spots look like good 'make out' areas. Just an observation. :)

I love the picture of the canoe on the water. Beautiful!

Sounds like the canoe is the winner in this set. All the happy little plants are napping while the winds trys to hard to wake them all up by nipping at the last of the covers.

Hi, sage. The broom grass is pretty, isn't it? And, yes, we have been having excessively warm weather for this time of year.

Thanks, ginnie. Glad you enjoy it. My girlfriend does come with me for a number of hikes; but didn't this one.

Thanks, ciclista. The Harrisburg area is indeed very pretty. I'm about two hours east of there.

Thanks, shionge. I'm glad I can provide you with such enjoyment.

Thanks, charley. God's creation is beautiful!

Thanks, photowannabe. That canoe photo is one of my favorites, too.

Hi, murf. Your thoughts are too devious. ;)

Thanks, deals on wheels. That is a photo with a message that speaks directly to the heart.

Thanks, paige. Glad you came by.

You know why these pictures are so nice, Tim ?
Because you managed to have beautiful skies (blue or gray with clouds instead a white one, its difficult to obtain that result)

Thanks, naturegirl. It was wonderful to hike there that day!

Thanks, cergie. Sometimes the sky works for you and sometimes it doesn't.

Hi, charlie. It is always interesting to observe how weather pattern shifts variously in different parts of the country.
