Late this afternoon, I went to Ott's Greenhouses near Schwenksville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It's the time of the year for their locally famous Mum Hill. Below are a few pictures of parts of the Mum Hill interspersed with photos of some individual potted mums. I love the color and contrasts.
Thanks, emily. They shine with color and contrast.
Thanks, kimberly. Glad to provide you with that kind of experience. They are exhilarating.
Thanks, sage. When the mums are blooming, it is autumn.
Hi, mreddie. Glad you enjoyed the colors.
Thanks, cergie. Around here, I think many people like potted mums on their porches and some people will put them in their flower beds.
Thanks, choochoo. They are indeed beautiful. Where you live, does it get cold early on?
Hi, irene tuazon. They are vibrantly colored, aren't they? Thanks for coming by.
Hi, joel reynolds. Glad you enjoyed the mum hill. It is indeed pleasing to the eye. Thanks.
Hi, mikaela. I get to go by Ott's several times a week on my bakery deliveries. So when I saw them yesterday, I knew I needed to come back with my camara after work. Glad you enjoyed my post.
Thanks, kevin stilly. Glad I could post them for your enjoyment.
My main blog: Ramblings generally focuses on telling a story via photography and words. These stories generally center around family, nature, and church although sometimes just about life in general. I also have a blog entitled Fingerprints. I post less frequently in Fingerprints. It serves as a catch all of anything that does not go in my Ramblings blog including memes, quizzes, and reports on books and movies.
The road awaits
Time doesn't
The road beckons
Time steps forward
Will we move
In step with time?
Will we step forward
Shaping our time?
Will we take time
To see the present?
Will we explore the past
And understand our heritage?
Will we laugh?
Will we wonder?
Will we touch?
Will we feel?
Time flies on
We have choices
Shall we go fast?
Shall we go slow?
We shall go forward
But we will choose the pace
We may dance with all our heart
Or bathe ourselves in a setting sun

Wow!! Great colors! ec
These moutains of flowers are really gorgeous.
In France, this flower is used in cimetery, however, even in a garden I find them so pretty.
It has just only one disadvantage: it does not like to be frost !
The reason why in the east part of my country which is more colder during the night, we rather use heather.
That is so great. I wish we had something like that around here
These photos brightened my day! Such beautiful, vibrantly colored flowers! Thanks for sharing. c",)

Yay for Ott's!
Last time I was there, the mums were planted, but not yet blooming (http://jamintake.blogspot.com/2006/08/otts.html).
Your photographs are gorgeous, as usual :)
Have a great weekend!
:) Mikaela

Mum is the word. Beautiful photos. The only thing I don't think I like about mums is the smell.
Man alive! Those are MUMS!
Thanks, moi. And welcome to my blog. Mums do make a beautiful array of colors.
Hi, benjamin potter. That's okay you don't have to like their smell. But their colors are amazing especially in a display like this! :)
