As the photo was loading on my screen, Tim, starting at the treetops, I thought what a great Halloween pic it is. Then I saw the rainbow and it totally changed everything. Fantastic!

A very neat image -- the one below too.

I like the contrast oh the silhouette and the bright yellow trees with that beautiful rainbow :)

That is a fascinating and truly unique photo. I really enjoy looking at it.

Again, kinda spooky (and timely) even with the rainbow.

that gnarly tree looks very halloween like and is in contrast to the rainbow--interesting

Thanks, ginnie. The picture was a fun catch. I was driving along River Road on the Pennsylvania side above Uhlerstown when I saw the rainbow. Thirty seconds later the rainbow had faded.

Hola, rafael. Me gusta mi visita a tu blog. Gracias por tu visita a mi blog. Saludos.

Thanks, anvilcloud. I had fun capturing these pictures, too.

Thanks, reflex. The contrasts are fascinating.

Thanks, annie. The picture draws me, too. :)

Hi, murf. There is a certain element of the spooky. Thanks for coming by.

Thanks, sage. The photo does have its contrasting elements.

This picture is exciting and spooky all at the same time. A great Halloween scene.

Also kind of reminds me of a forest fire, in the distance, at night.

Beautiful image of contrasts. What a perfect moment you've captured!

Beautiful rainbow, did you find its foot and the treasure sunken there ?

Hi, Tim. My pleasure...although I sometimes fear scaring you with my outbursts on what your manipulated pictures look like. ;-)

I always liked tree silhouettes. By the way, am I hallucinating or did your template change?

It's kind of spooky, but what a great photo.....to catch a rainbow that late in the day.....at least looks late.....

Thanks, abandoned in pasadena. The photo is appropriate to the season, isn't it?

Thanks, corinne, The contrasts are significant. As for the rainbow as I commented before, just a few seconds later and it was gone.

Thanks, cergie. Two answers - The foot of the rainbow was across the river in New Jersey which I could not reach and the treasure was all around me. :)

Ah, murf, if you scare me too much, I'll just delete it from memory. ;) But you haven't reached that point yet. You might be a little scary on the outside but soft on the inside. :)

Thanks, jam*tacular. It's among one of my favorite photos now.

Thanks, choochoo. Tree silhouettes often are to be treasured. And no you are not hallucinating. I did change the template. It was time to try something new. :)

Thanks, carmel. It pleases me that it pleases you. :)

Hi, judypatoote. It was late in the evening when I took it although the storm clouds may make it look later than it really was.

Good ! tim, i can see how a great teacher you are: you have an answer for each question.

I love rainbows. I always think there are pots of gold waiting at their end. c",) Great photo, Tim!

Belated me, but as rainbow pics go, this is certainly one of the more original ones Tim. Your description confirms that it was one of those 'once-in-a-lifetime' moments when the camera can be invaluable.

Thanks, cergie. I try to answer the questions asked of me. :)

Thanks, irene. There are pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. But they're figurative pots of gold. ;)

Thanks, mile stones. You're right. I could not have planned for that photo. And I was fortunate I could pull to the side of the road to take that photo. Most places along that road I could not have pulled to the side.

Thanks, ocean. I thought that picture was awesome, too. What a wondrous creation God has made!
