The day was quite windy so we spent a fair part of the afternoon flying a kite.
The two girls to the right above are two of my nieces. The one furtherest to the left flying the kite is a friend of theirs from church. The guy on the bottom left is my brother whose family I was visiting.
Unfortunately, the kite landed twice in trees. The first time my brother was able to rescue it; the second time, kite flying was over. But we had a good afternoon.
In the late afternoon, my brother & his wife and I played Blokus. Here's a picture of one of the games when no one could place another piece.
Here the girls are playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey. They also got us adults to participate. I missed the tail's proper location by far. :)

Perfect day for flying a kite... it's been windy around here for several days....but no kites...no kids.....your nieces are real cute. I see you changed the look of your blogging sight.....looks good......
Nice one Tim, I shall look in regularly :-)
Jim
I had a kite when I was a kid. It had a clown on it. Maybe that's why it refused to fly. Clowns usually don't do very well in the air.
Looks like a fun day! So . . how much did you pay your brother to do a squirrel act and climb that tree??
Oh . . and thanks for your comments on my blog!
Erik
What a happy day.
And what a wonderful page of posts.
Thank you.

Nice post, tim, I'm enjoying your simple family life.
All your family seems so joyfull, and the new model of your blog is less serious.
That's good.
First I believed you changed completly, and secondly I saw that all the post are remaining here.

I bet your brother's children look forward to their uncle coming. And you are probably not offended when someone tells you to go fly a kite!
I really enjoy flying kites :D And your pictures are so joyful and colored!
What a wonderful Sunday. All day with the family - food and games and a kite-eating tree too.
Thanks for the day, Tim.

I have to tell you Tim that when I come across people doing posts of their family life like this one, I find it gratifying and at the same time I feel envious. These are things that I cannot do, but wish I could, like I used to. It is more priceless than we know, until we can't have it. I am sure you appreciate yours, as it seems. Well done!!
Great family shots. I love the Kite Eating Tree.
PRECIOSAS FOTOS FAMILIARES UN SALUDO
Hi, judypatooote. It was a good day for flying kites. And, yes, my nieces are real neat kids. Glad you like the new look of my blog.
Thanks, maalie king. It is an honor to have other bloggers check in regularly.
Hi, choochoo. I think kites are somewhat tempermental. Sometimes they will fly gloriously; other times no matter how much wind or what one does they just won't fly. They got a mind of their own. ;)
Thanks. the very nice man. It was a fun day. And I didn't pay my brother anything. I enjoyed visiting your blog. :)
Thanks, tropical screamer. Glad you enjoyed my posts.
Thanks, cergie. Glad you like the new template for my blog. I always appreciate and look forward to your visits and comments.
Hi, moi. Yept, I changed the template. And I can see how that might at first throw off a regular visitor. Kite flying was a bundle of fun that day.
Thanks, ava. I am blessed to have so many nieces and nephews to enjoy as well as many brothers and a sister. It was a great day for kite flying.
Thanks, irene. I appreciate my extended family greatly and I think they appreciate me. :)
Thanks, paige. It is so good to have visitors like you. I had a lot of fun on Sunday. And I enjoy working on my blog with both photography and words.
Thanks, dia. They are special moments I spend with my loved ones.
Hi, faye pekas. It was a good day with part of my extended family.
Hi, sage. My nieces do enjoy my visits and I enjoy being with them. And you're right, I don't mind being told to go fly a kite in this situation. :)
Thanks, photo-effe. They are happy most of the time; they mean a lot to me.
Thanks, reflex. Kite flying is fun. And my brother did have a very colorful kite to fly. We enjoy being together with one another.
Thanks, annie. I am glad to share that day with you and all my blog readers. Close family members are a blessing.
Thanks, mile stones. I'm sorry you can't personally have these experiences now. I guess the lesson is to enjoy one's blessings while they are there. My extended family is priceless to me.
Thanks, photowannabe. Let's see, I think you're the second person to comment about the kite-eating tree. :)
Thanks, cari. She definitely is a cute niece of mine and lots of fun to play with.
Hola, manuel tendero gil. Las fotos son muy preciosas. Mi familia es muy valiosa a mí.
Thanks, ocean. My nieces are neat girls and kite flying was a lot of fun.
Wow! What a surprise to see a new template! I like how you can arrange the pics. Well done.
And there's just nothing better than flying a kite on a windy day! I'm still kid enough to do it whenever possible!
I don't know if I should admit this but your oldest niece is my favorite. I took a shine to her from your previous entries. I have never flown a kite in my life but I do enjoy breakfast for dinner.
Thanks, ginnie. And yeah, I think I surprised a lot of people with my new template; but it was time to try something new. As for the arrangement of the photos, I did that with the help of Adobe Photoshop Elements pasting four pictures into one picture. And kite flying was fun.
Hi, murf. I think breakfast for dinner is a good choice many a time. :)
