Nockamixon State Park - Autumn, Part 2

This is a continuation of my hiking trip at Nockamixon State Park of Wednesday of last week. The park is located near Quakertown in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I was on the Bedminster side of Nockamixon Lake hiking off of Kellers Church Road.

Wouldn't this be a spooky place to be at Halloween? Part of the time I was hiking, it was late evening in a dense part of the forest. It can make for a feeling of quiet mystery and solitude.

Sometimes the prettiest things are the simplest things - like a single red leaf on top of a forest bed of dry brown leaves next to a brown log.

A beautiful hiking trail in the forest near an opening

A pretty yellow leaf

Nightfall is descending; almost time to go home

The one I prefer is the falling night.
Night is black at Seven PM now !!!
Leaves are beautiful now where you are hiking.

To day, I had a walk (13 km) with my husband, he was always walking quickly in front of me, without waiting me so he is on all my pictures I think.
What a pitty !
Happily, I have taken butterfly pictures, mushrooms, and so on.
I don't know if I'll put all of them !!!

Hola, manuel tendero gil. Gracias por tu comentario. Los colores del otoño son, en efecto, muy buenos. Saludos.

Hola, consise10. It is good to hear from you. I'm glad you like the new looks and the kite pictures. And I bet your two kids are excited about the new kite you bought.

Hi, moi. I thought some people would agree with my observation. :)

Thanks, cergie. It is getting dark early here, too. Thursday, sunset is at 4:57 p.m. according to weather.com. It sounds like you had a good walk except maybe your husband made you move too fast. I'll look forward to seeing the pics.

Thanks, judypatooote. You made me laugh with your comment, "You can even make a deceased leaf look good". Great use of humor. :)

Tim, "nightfall is descending"? It looks like it already did. Do you have a flashlight on these hikes that you take later in the day, just in case? I love the picture of the red leaf and what you wrote about it.

Thanks, murf. No, I did not have a flashlight with me. Didn't feel that I needed one. :)

Thank you for sharing your visions of fall! I live in Northern California and don't get to see autumn quit in that much glory.
