Last week I was driving along this farm and decided that it just might be good picture taking time. So I parked my car along the road and got out. The farm is located not far from Dublin in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. When I was a teenager, I used to work there around the house and barn helping to maintain and care for the property. Some of these pictures are best viewed in their larger size by clicking on the picture.
and in the pond is a swan.
I remember when this pond did not have a fountain. At that time the pond often became rather stagnant and algae overgrown. So they solved the problem a good number of years ago by installing a fountain.
with its eyes and facial expression.

Mozart is the best. The cows prefer Mozart than Xenakis or Boulez for instance!!!
Animals are so soulful, when you take the time to pay attention to them and look deep into their eyes. I'm trying to pay more attention to them as I get older. Something about them that God wants us to learn, I think!

It just goes to show that a person should always have a camera handy. What great shots.....I was going by my church one day and there is a field across from it, and that field was filled with mallard ducks. It looked like over 100 ducks.....all blue and green and beautiful....and guess what, NO Camera.....I could have pulled in the church parking lot, and took some pictures......so I took my camera with me the next day, and NO ducks......
I love animals and these are wonderful. I especially like the last picture too.
I came by your blog earlier today but blogger wouldn't let me leave a comment. Now I'm back, to look at the farm animals again. I have long had the dream of having a little farm with animals like these. Maybe not so many but some to care for and learn from. Certainly not to eat. Maybe a petting farm for children to visit. The only problem with my dream is that my husband doesn't share it. And, since I like him a lot, I'll probably just continue to dream my dream and look at animal pictures like yours. Nice pictures. I have never seen a real live sheep, only pictures and some on tv.
Love the shot where the sheep are, then the goats & the swan on the water. They are all great. How lucky you are to live where such natural beauty can been seen on a daily basis. Here I have to go out & look for it, most of time. Which brings up my usual problem of where is the time to do it. Beautiful, thanks for giving this to us.

Hi, abandoned in pasadena. I think it works because it keeps the water circulating. It may not be cheap solution to do it properly depending how large a body of water one is working with.
