On and Off the Banbury-Mopac Trail

Late Thursday afternoon, I went for a hike along and off of the Banbury-Mopac Trail in Franconia Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was warm and mostly cloudy and by the time I got home it soon began to rain. I wore sandals for this hike. The first two pictures are special signs that Spring is here. :) And the rest are creek and tree scenes.

My first blooming wildflower for this year

A young shoot breaking through the earth

A fast moving creek taken at a slow shutter speed

Two huge tree trunks along the creek

Roots

This creek monster is ready for you! ;)

the slow shutter does make the water seem silky and smooth. Good job!

Thanks, photowannabe. Glad you could come along online on this hike with me.

Thanks, moi. Glad you enjoyed the photos. Spring's just teasing us right now.

Isn't it nice to be able to take a walk in your sandals and to spot the first signs of spring? It's finally here.

Love to see pictures of creeks and your slow shudder speed picture wasn't even blurry. You can imagine all kinds of monsters when you see such exposed tree roots and sometimes it makes you wonder how the tree is still standing.

Do you suppose that the holey tree in the previous post was made by a woodpecker. I have seen some awfully holey trees that they have pecked on, but non like this one...the holes looked very large...maybe a very large woodpecker.

Your turtle rock was very amusing.

Bravo, Tim. for trying the slow shutter speed on the creek! You're an inspiration for me. If ever I try it, you'll be one of the first to know. :)

I like particularly the stream of water I find it so well caught
and the two pictures of roots too
The one which is like a person with the arms opened is so weird and very expressive

Thanks, sandy. Nature is awesome!

Thanks, ginnie. You can do it, too, if you have a tripod. That's the only way I could do that without camera shake.

Thanks, murf. It is an interesting effect, isn't it?

Thanks, cergie. Roots leave lots of room for the imagination to work. :)
