Yesterday afternoon was the warmest day yet with temperatures in the 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It was a beautiful day for hiking and I returned to a different section of Nockamixon State Park.
I am such a big fan of your hikes, Tim, because you have a WORLD out there to explore in all its majesty. These pics take my breath away, especially the ones with the rocks!
I love moss.....well I guess I love anything green....your pictures are great as usual.... I gave my son my old fuji (it's only about 2 years old)...and he reminded me of you, he went to a park (side cut) and took all kinds of pictures....of some waterfalls, and trees, stumps.....and even some daff. flowers...and some old brick ruins of something or other......
It's so difficult to get a blue sky onn a picture even if the weather is sunny A white sky is not so gorgeous Happily now it will be easier You manage that very well here
I had ten days vacation and you posted many pictures during that time...
My main blog: Ramblings generally focuses on telling a story via photography and words. These stories generally center around family, nature, and church although sometimes just about life in general. I also have a blog entitled Fingerprints. I post less frequently in Fingerprints. It serves as a catch all of anything that does not go in my Ramblings blog including memes, quizzes, and reports on books and movies.
The road awaits
Time doesn't
The road beckons
Time steps forward
Will we move
In step with time?
Will we step forward
Shaping our time?
Will we take time
To see the present?
Will we explore the past
And understand our heritage?
Will we laugh?
Will we wonder?
Will we touch?
Will we feel?
Time flies on
We have choices
Shall we go fast?
Shall we go slow?
We shall go forward
But we will choose the pace
We may dance with all our heart
Or bathe ourselves in a setting sun

It looked like the crocus was trying to hide - great pics. ec
The circle of the moss is a great effect!
Land leading into water (like the overhang) make great photos I think.
A warm day to go hiking. Your pictures are a tribute to the day.
I love the first image. That flower is gorgeous! It almost seems magical somehow.

I've been looking for flowers in the woods the last couple of days, but I haven't found any. It's so warm and sunny, I'm sure they'll be up soon:D
Thanks, mreddie. The crocus does look rather almost hidden, doesn't it?
Thanks, san nakji. I like the overhang photo, too. :)
Thanks, photowannabe. It was a great day for hiking.

Thanks, ginnie. I do have a world or worlds to explore in my hikes, don't I? :)
Hi, choochoo. I have only seen a few wildflowers at this point. But they'll be coming before long. :)

Such great pics. So important that we have public parks for everyone to enjoy. Nature cleans our minds and feeds our spirits. I miss my FL sunshine.
I couldn't tell quite what the ruin is. What do you think it was once a part of, Tim? A house?
Thanks, judypatooote. Your son does sound at least a little like me. :)
Thanks, sage. It is nice to see spring flowers starting to break winter colors.
Thanks, diyadear. It was a wonderful hike!
Thanks, katie. I, too, am appreciative that we have public parks in which to enjoy nature.
Hi, murf. I don't know for sure what it originally was. It might have been a part of a house or barn. It almost reminds me of a fireplace.
Hi Tim, thanks for popping by my blog! You have some great photos here , the moss is excellent! Look forward to seeing what appears tomorrow!
All the best,
Natalya (talj)
loved the purple flower picture and the last one, the broken brick wall.
