This afternoon I went hiking at Ringing Rocks County Park near Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. All of these pictures are taken from the same falls on this creek just at different angles and sections of the falls. It was a partly cloudy to cloudy afternoon.

Sunday with my brother's family
This past Sunday, my girlfriend and I spent some time with the family of my nieces. We did a variety of activities together. But this post specializes on the violin playing time. Much of the time in these pictures my girlfriend played the violin while one of my nieces would play the piano. In the last picture, my oldest niece was given a chance to try out the violin.

Wintertime
Last Friday I went hiking just outside the town of Telford near some railroad tracks in a partially wetlands area. It was partially cloudy with the sun peaking through some times. It was good to get back out in nature hiking and doing some photography. In some of the pictures there is a little bit of snow and ice. Actually, the snow is almost infinitesimal. Only got a dusting that morning and a tiny bit more since then.

Playing with Abstract Expressions, No. 2
These days between uncooperative weather and my schedule being filled with other responsibilities and joys I haven't gotten out to do much hiking. But here's some more of my playing with abstract expressions. The original photo from which these designs all came from is at the bottom.

Leaving Big Bend, Texas - 1997
Back in April/May 1997, I took a month long Southwest USA vacation. This post shows some photos from when I left Big Bend National Park down at the bottom of Texas next to Mexico. These photos were taken from along Routes 118 and 170 following the Rio Grande River much of the time.

The Giving Pond, part 2
Last Saturday afternoon, I went for a hike at The Giving Pond along River Road near Uhlerstown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was an extra warm day; I didn't need any jacket or coat. Note the green leaves in the third picture. We have been having an abnormally warm fall and winter. It was a good place to do some thinking and communing with God.

The Giving Pond
This afternoon I spent at The Giving Pond Recreation Area along River Road not far from Uhlerstown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It used to be a rather large quarry. But when it was closed down, a number of people worked to have it become a part of the Pennsylvania State Park system. The day was variably cloudy with moments of bright sunshine. It was a good afternoon.
