A Favorite and A Transformation

The above spring wildflower photo is one of my favorites. I like the positioning of the wildflowers in relationship to the above ground tree roots.

And in this transformation, I'm pulled to the contrast of the green against the black.

At first I didn't like it. But it intrigues me the more I look at it... Hmmmm

Fascinating, san nakji. Do you know what makes the difference the more you look at it? In the original picture, I love the lines.

Pretty flowers. Do they have only two leaves and do leaves and flowers disappear quickly ? I'm not sure to appreciate the second photo.

Hi, cergie. I think they only have two leaves but am not exactly sure how long they last. I think they are named Star of Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbellatum). It's okay if you don't like the second photo. You may be more of a realist in terms of art appreciation. I like a variety of art forms.

Thanks, sage.

Hi, asma. Glad you enjoyed the first picture. And you're not the only one who doesn't care for the second. But it takes many different tastes to make the world a fascinating place to live in.

I'm confused. Are people saying they don't like the picture with the green against the black?

I think it's amazing. I love bright colors against black. I guess that's a good thing since that's the colors of my current quilt project.

Great photos. I, too, love turtles. My favorite swims are when the green sea turtles join us. We keep our distance from them and we can't keep up with them for long, but each second even seeing them is a treasured moment.

Hi, darilyn. I think you're right that a number of people are saying that they don't like the picture with the green against the black. But that's okay. I like honesty. And your swimming with the turtles does sound like fun!

Thanks, nabeel. There is so much in the original picture to see and appreciate.
