A couple days ago, I spent a half hour browsing through Rice Greenhouses in Bedminster Township (postal address - Perkasie), Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Two of my brothers own and operate the business. I had my camera with me and so took pictures of some of their Easter and Spring flowers.
Oh, this makes me feel like running out to the local garden centre and buying everything they have. Lovely flowers! Your brothers can be proud of their work.
BTW, Tim, if you wanted to see more views like the ones I posted on my blog, you can go tothis site. There are great hiking trails all around the coastal mountains and in the rest of British Columbia as well. Click on the Black Tusk/Garibaldi Provincial Park photo links to see some great scenery.
Interesting thought, san nakji. But I don't think you would want to taste these flowers though some of them do smell extremely good.
Thanks, christina. My brothers do raise quality flowers. Their main advertisement has been word of mouth by their customers. And christina, I checked out the site you recommended. It just confirmed my desire to some day visit there. Thanks.
Thanks, andrea. I think there are many of us who can't wait for spring to be here full force.
Welcome, taradharma. I'm glad you're finding it enjoyable.
These flowers are so perfect, and your brothers are lucky to be able to work around such beauty all the time! It seems Americans pay more attention to landscaping these days and in my new neighborhood there are really great gardens (mostly pansies and flowering spring bulbs).
I'll take one of each please! I tend to bring home truckloads of plants when I visit greenhouses (even though most become deer-food). Thanks for the nice words on my blog, I'll definitely visit again :)
AHA ! I've search and found your brother's green house. I'll put it as favorite on my garden blog later...when it will have no more problems with Blogger! I posted a message this morning and since that moment cergipontin is spraid. So just now, I'm feeling uneasy. I knew that your brother has such a job, because of the message about the gold fishes. Water-hyacinths were inside.
My main blog: Ramblings generally focuses on telling a story via photography and words. These stories generally center around family, nature, and church although sometimes just about life in general. I also have a blog entitled Fingerprints. I post less frequently in Fingerprints. It serves as a catch all of anything that does not go in my Ramblings blog including memes, quizzes, and reports on books and movies.
The road awaits
Time doesn't
The road beckons
Time steps forward
Will we move
In step with time?
Will we step forward
Shaping our time?
Will we take time
To see the present?
Will we explore the past
And understand our heritage?
Will we laugh?
Will we wonder?
Will we touch?
Will we feel?
Time flies on
We have choices
Shall we go fast?
Shall we go slow?
We shall go forward
But we will choose the pace
We may dance with all our heart
Or bathe ourselves in a setting sun

I always thought the best plants were those which could be eaten. It would be great if the prettiest flowers were also the tasiest!

Thanks, crystal. I like it when people beautify their homes with flowers and other plants. It brightens up the neighborhood.
